Drain Cleaning & Hydrojetting — Killeen, TX

Drain Cleaning & Main Line
Hydrojetting in Killeen, TX

We clear clogs with the right tool for the job. And when a main line needs real cleaning, we hydrojet it, scouring the inside of the pipe to remove years of grease buildup instead of just poking a hole through the clog.

✓ Main Line Hydrojetting ✓ Removes Years of Grease ✓ Duplex & Fourplex Experience ✓ Written Estimate First

Why We Hydrojet Main Lines

Clearing a clog and cleaning a pipe are two different things.

Hydrojetting

  • High-pressure water scours the inside of the pipe
  • Removes years of grease and buildup from the pipe walls
  • Restores the full width of the line
  • Our preferred method for main line drains

Clearing a Clog Only

  • Opens a path through the blockage
  • Can leave grease coating the pipe walls
  • Buildup that stays behind can catch the next clog
  • Why some drains keep backing up

The Right Tool for the Job

Clearing a clog and cleaning a drain line call for different equipment.

Handheld Augers

For clearing clogs in sinks, tubs, showers, and toilets.

Sectional Cable Machines

For tougher clogs further down the line.

Drain Kings

Water-pressure tools for clearing certain blockages.

Hydro Jets

For cleaning drain lines. When the goal is a clean pipe, not just an open one, the hydro jet is the tool to use.

Duplexes, Fourplexes, and Shared Kitchen Lines

Where hydrojetting matters most.

In many duplexes and fourplexes, the kitchen sinks share one drain line. That line handles two to four times the activity of a single home, so grease builds up faster.

When a shared line backs up, it doesn't make a mess in just one kitchen. It can back up into several units at once. Hydrojetting cleans out the buildup in those shared lines instead of just the latest clog, which means fewer emergency calls and fewer unhappy tenants. Property managers, see how we work with you on our property management plumbing page.

Signs Your Main Line Needs Cleaning

If more than one drain is acting up, the problem is probably the main line.

Several Slow Drains

More than one sink, tub, or shower draining slowly at the same time.

Backups in the Tub

Water coming up in a tub or shower when a toilet is flushed or the washer drains.

Gurgling Drains

Drains or toilets gurgling when other fixtures are used.

Clogs That Come Back

A drain that's been cleared before and is clogging again.

When Cleaning Isn't Enough

If clogs keep coming back after a line has been cleaned, the pipe itself may be the problem: a break, a separated joint, or old cast iron at the end of its life. A camera inspection shows exactly what's going on. If the line needs to be repaired or replaced, see our under-slab drain line repair page.

Drain Cleaning Questions

What is hydrojetting?

Hydrojetting uses a high-pressure stream of water to clean the inside of your drain pipe. Instead of just punching a hole through a clog, it scours the pipe walls and removes years of grease and buildup, so the line flows like it should.

What tools do you use to clear drains?

We use a variety of tools depending on the clog, including handheld augers, sectional cable machines, Drain Kings, and hydro jets. For clearing a clog, an auger or cable machine often does the job. For cleaning a drain line, the hydro jet is the tool to use.

Why hydrojet a main line instead of just snaking it?

Snaking opens a path through a clog, but it can leave grease and buildup coating the pipe, and that's often why the clog comes back. Hydrojetting cleans the inside of the pipe, which is why we prefer it for main lines.

Why do duplexes and fourplexes have so many kitchen drain problems?

In many duplexes and fourplexes, the kitchen sinks share a drain line. That line handles two to four times the activity of a single home, so grease builds up faster, and when it backs up it can make a mess in more than one unit. Hydrojetting those shared lines clears out the buildup instead of just the latest clog.

My drains keep clogging even after they're cleared. What's going on?

Repeat clogs can mean grease buildup that was never fully cleaned out, which hydrojetting addresses. They can also mean a damaged or deteriorating pipe, especially in older homes with cast iron drains. In that case, a camera inspection shows what's going on.

What should I do if my main line backs up?

Stop running water and flushing toilets, since everything you send down the drain has nowhere to go. Then give us a call.

How much does drain cleaning cost?

It depends on the drain and what it needs. You'll get a written estimate before any work begins.
