We Don't Just Swap the Tank
What every water heater install includes, and why.
The shutoff valve and supply lines on your water heater are usually the same age as the water heater itself. When we install a new one, we replace those too.
It doesn't make sense to put a brand-new water heater on an old supply line that could burst and flood your home, or behind an old shutoff valve that won't close when you need it to. Replacing them during the install costs far less than dealing with either problem later.
And we always pull a permit, so the job is done to code and inspected.

Hard Water and Your Water Heater
Central Texas water is hard. In a tank water heater, those minerals settle to the bottom as sediment. In a tankless unit, they build up as scale inside the heat exchanger. Either way, efficiency drops and parts wear out sooner.
That's why we flush tank water heaters and service and descale tankless units once a year. It's a small job that helps your water heater last. If you have a drain problem instead, see our drain cleaning page.
Water Heater Questions
What brands of water heaters do you install?
We work with all the major brands and install what you want. If you'd rather buy your own water heater, we can install it for you.
Do you install tankless water heaters?
Yes. We install both tankless and standard tank water heaters, and we can help you weigh which one fits your home and how your family uses hot water.
Why do you replace the shutoff valve and supply lines with a new water heater?
Because they're usually the same age as the old water heater. It doesn't make sense to put a brand-new water heater on an old supply line that could burst and flood your home, or an old shutoff valve that won't close when you need it to. Replacing them during the install is the safe, sensible way to do it.
Do you pull permits for water heater installs?
Always. Every water heater we install is permitted.
How often should a water heater be flushed?
We recommend flushing tank water heaters once a year to clear out sediment, and our customers get an annual reminder from us. Tankless water heaters need annual servicing and descaling instead.
Why does a tankless water heater need descaling?
Central Texas water is hard, and the minerals build up as scale inside a tankless unit's heat exchanger. Annual descaling keeps it heating efficiently and working the way it should for years to come.
